Michigan Licensed Peer Recovery Specialist
Job Summary
To support individuals with substance use disorders, the full-time Michigan Licensed Peer Recovery Specialist will provide remote, recovery-oriented support, build trusting relationships, and help patients establish and pursue meaningful recovery goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individualized peer recovery support to patients with varying levels of need and complexity
- Build sustained, trusting relationships that promote recovery, self-efficacy, and community connection
- Connect patients with appropriate community-based resources as needs are identified
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in peer recovery support, including experience navigating opioid use disorder treatment resources and referral processes
- Active peer certification in good standing in Michigan
- Current certification as a National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist (NCPRSS) or ability to obtain certification within 9 months of hire
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
