Job Summary
A company is looking for a Sr Medical Coder - Inpatient.
Key Responsibilities
- Code and abstract inpatient and complex outpatient medical records for various purposes
- Utilize ICD10-CM, ICD10-PCS, and CPT-4 classification systems in compliance with coding guidelines
- Collaborate with the Coding Analyst and Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists to ensure accurate claims submission
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor Degree in Health Information or CCS certification with a minimum of 2 years coding experience
- Certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) is required
- One to three years of experience using ICD10-CM and ICD10-PCS coding systems
- Demonstrated ability to meet productivity and quality standards
