Job Summary
A company is looking for a Senior Medical Coder for a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize resources to identify appropriate medical codes and ensure compliance with coding guidelines
- Generate queries for unclear clinical documentation and follow up with providers as necessary
- Manage multiple work demands while maintaining productivity and turnaround time standards for medical records
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- Certified medical coder through AHIMA or AAPC
- 1+ years of experience in ICD 10 coding / HCC
- Access to a designated quiet workspace and secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Ability to work between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm EST
