Job Summary

Supervising daily operations, the full-time Michigan Licensed Storekeeper will manage warehouse duties, including record keeping, ordering, and inventory management, while overseeing prisoners at the St. Louis Correctional Complex.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the storage, handling, and distribution of materials in various areas, including Warehouse and Quartermaster
• Maintain accurate records of stock, manage inventory, and ensure timely ordering and delivery of supplies
• Supervise and direct prisoners' activities within the facility, ensuring compliance with established procedures

Required qualifications

• Three years of experience in storage, handling, and distribution of materials or operation of mail handling and sorting machines
• Two years of experience equivalent to the Storekeeper E6 level
• No specific education requirements; however, relevant experience is essential
• Ability to pass pre-appointment and random drug and alcohol testing
• Must meet ethical standards and conduct requirements as mandated by the Department of Corrections
