Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer
Job Summary
Designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, the full-time Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer will work remotely to build data models and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business intelligence initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and models within Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse and Warehouse architectures
- Build and optimize Fabric Notebooks using PySpark, Spark SQL, and/or Python for large-scale data transformation
- Collaborate with data analysts and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and ensure compliance with data governance policies
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture, specifically with Microsoft Fabric
- Hands-on experience writing PySpark/Spark SQL in a notebook environment for data transformation
- Strong programming skills in SQL and at least one additional language such as Python or Scala
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and best practices for data governance and security
