Microsoft Security Consultant

Job Summary

Serving as the primary Microsoft subject-matter expert, the full-time Microsoft Security Consultant will provide advisory services to clients, assessing their Microsoft environments and security postures while delivering actionable recommendations and implementing approved configuration changes remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery sessions and technical workshops to assess customer Microsoft configurations and security controls
• Conduct Microsoft security health assessments and produce prioritized findings reports with remediation roadmaps
• Provide hands-on expertise during customer escalations and support internal strategy discussions related to Microsoft technologies

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering or consulting on Microsoft 365, Azure, or Entra ID environments
• Deep knowledge of the Microsoft security stack, including Microsoft Defender and Sentinel capabilities
• Experience conducting security assessments and translating findings into actionable remediation plans
• Proven ability to make live configuration changes in Microsoft environments under change-control processes
• Current Microsoft certifications such as SC-100, SC-200, or AZ-500
