Microsoft Security Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Microsoft Security Engineer will manage enterprise deployments of Microsoft Defender XDR and Microsoft Sentinel, focusing on improving security posture for clients' Microsoft-based assets in both on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive discovery, design, configuration, validation, piloting, deployment, and support of Microsoft security capabilities with client teams
• Collaborate across business units to provide a holistic approach that integrates threat protection with identity, devices, and compliance
• Contribute to the development of new Threat Protection and SIEM services offered by the organization

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft cloud security solutions, including Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Microsoft Sentinel
• Strong experience with KQL queries and on-premises Microsoft security solutions such as Windows Server and Active Directory
• Current Microsoft 365 Certified Security Administrator Associate or Azure Security Engineer Associate certification
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, and Entra ID
• Security Operations (SecOps) experience with Microsoft Defender XDR
