Microsoft SQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a growing development team, the full-time Microsoft SQL Database Administrator will manage the administration, performance, security, and recoverability of Microsoft SQL Server database environments while working remotely from select states.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, configure, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database environments across development, test, and production systems
• Perform SQL performance tuning and implement backup and recovery strategies that meet established recovery objectives
• Collaborate with application developers to review database designs and support database deployments through CI/CD and DevOps processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Database Administration, or a related field preferred
• 2-4 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments preferred
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (DP-300) strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server administration, architecture, and performance tuning
• Experience using PowerShell and/or T-SQL to automate database administration tasks
