Mid-level Data Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growth equity firm, the full-time Mid-level Data Engineer will build, test, and maintain dbt models in a production environment using Snowflake, focusing on analytics and investment decision-making while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain staging and intermediate dbt models in a medallion architecture
- Implement entity resolution logic and maintain AI-powered tagging models using Snowflake Cortex
- Monitor dbt Cloud jobs, debug failed runs, and ensure the accuracy of data models
Required qualifications
- 2-4 years of data engineering experience in a production environment
- Solid SQL skills, including multi-stage CTEs and window functions
- Working knowledge of dbt and experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse
- Comfort with dimensional modeling and layered architectures
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows
