Mid-Level Electrical Designer

Job Summary

Leading the design team for power generation projects, the full-time Mid-Level Electrical Designer will manage the development of electrical raceway systems, perform calculations, and create 3D models while collaborating with various engineering disciplines in a dynamic work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design cable tray, grounding, and lighting systems from concept to completion
• Perform calculations to size conduits and cable tray systems according to NEC requirements
• Develop 3D models and check for interferences and constructability in electrical designs

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in power generation
• Proficiency in SmartPlant 3D and experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Experience designing cable tray systems and grounding systems
• Ability to conceptualize designs in a 3D environment
• Capacity to work independently with limited supervision in a multi-discipline team setting
