Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Mid-Level Java Developer to join a cloud-native engineering team in a fully remote capacity, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining modern Spring Boot microservices and RESTful APIs for federal agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend microservices using Java 21+ and Spring Boot frameworks
- Implement caching, session management, and messaging solutions, and containerize applications using Docker for deployment in Kubernetes environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions while participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, particularly with Spring Boot
- Experience with PostgreSQL database management, including schema design and query optimization
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Understanding of secure software development practices, including OAuth2 and JWT for authentication
