Middle School Workshop Facilitator

Job Summary

To support innovative education, the part-time Middle School Workshop Facilitator will prepare and facilitate engaging virtual learning experiences for 6th-8th grade students, focusing on collaborative problem-solving and communication skills through interactive activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate live workshops via Zoom, utilizing detailed lesson plans and materials for cohorts of approximately 24 learners
• Participate in weekly meetings and monthly check-ins to address concerns and collaborate with the coaching lead
• Track attendance and participation, providing feedback and recognition to learners at the end of each cycle

Required qualifications

• Experience with virtual facilitation or teaching is preferred but not required
• Strong engagement skills to make learning exciting and enjoyable for students
• Proficiency with technology and a belief in its role in enhancing education
• Passion for alternative education models and innovative teaching methods
• Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment
