Middle School Workshop Facilitator
Job Summary
Facilitating engaging virtual workshops, the part-time Middle School Workshop Facilitator will prepare and lead interactive learning experiences for 6th-8th grade students, dedicating approximately 5-6 hours per week, including 4 hours of live facilitation via Zoom.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare for and facilitate dynamic live learning experiences, including simulations and discussions, for cohorts of approximately 24 learners
- Participate in a weekly meeting and monthly check-ins to address concerns and collaborate with the coaching lead
- Track attendance and participation, providing feedback and distributing badges at the end of each workshop cycle
Required qualifications
- Experience in facilitating discussions or virtual teaching is preferred
- Strong technological proficiency and belief in technology's role in enhancing education
- Passion for alternative education models
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed team environment
- Reliable, adaptable, and open to feedback
