Middleware System Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Middleware System Administrator / DevOps Engineer for a contract position onsite in Jackson, MS, who will manage, administer, and support enterprise middleware platforms built on JBoss EAP while integrating with Azure DevOps for source control, CI/CD, and release automation.
Key responsibilities
- Provision, install, configure, and monitor JBoss EAP environments across various stages including development, QA, staging, and production
- Manage deployment workflows in Azure DevOps, including automated builds, deployments, and release documentation
- Perform day-to-day middleware administration and operational support, including troubleshooting and proactive monitoring of systems
Required qualifications
- Strong expertise in JBoss EAP 7/8.x and Azure DevOps, including CI/CD setup and administration
- Experience with JBoss clustering, failover configurations, and application deployment using GUI and CLI
- Proficiency in scripting with Shell/Bash for automation of middleware tasks
- Demonstrated ability to perform performance tuning and troubleshooting of middleware environments
- Familiarity with capacity planning and operational metrics analysis
