Job Summary
The full-time salaried Minnesota Environmental Justice Manager will build and implement environmental justice initiatives in Minnesota, focusing on data centers and supporting the Midwest Climate & Health Equity Hub through relationship-building, policy analysis, and resource development in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with the Midwest Program Director to design and implement environmental justice goals and strategies in Minnesota
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, policymakers, and stakeholders to advance environmental justice priorities
- Collaborate with partners to identify research and policy goals, translating complex issues into actionable resources for communities
Required qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in project management, organizing, or coalition work
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with diverse community organizations and partners
- Experience supporting grassroots leaders and organizations in developing strategies and actions
- Familiarity with environmental and climate justice topics, including energy democracy and just transition
- Proficient in using project management and CRM systems
