Minnesota Licensed Attorney Director
Job Summary
Seeking a Minnesota Licensed Attorney Director for the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility and Client Security Board, this full-time hybrid position will manage daily operations, oversee investigations into attorney misconduct, and supervise staff while preparing reports for the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board and the Supreme Court.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility and supervise a staff of 23, including 12 lawyers
- Oversee the activities of the Client Security Board, including screening claims for compensation and coordinating investigations
- Prepare and administer budgets for both the Office of Lawyers Professional Responsibility and the Client Security Board, ensuring timely resolution of cases
Required qualifications:
- Law degree from an accredited law school and a current Minnesota law license
- At least 3 years of trial and civil litigation experience, with a preference for 10+ years overall experience
- Administrative and supervisory experience, particularly in attorney discipline cases
- Outstanding writing, public speaking, and presentation skills
- Experience delivering professional education or leading public-facing initiatives in the legal community is preferred
