Minnesota Licensed Building Plan Reviewer
Job Summary
To support their plan review operations, the part-time remote Minnesota Licensed Building Plan Reviewer will review commercial, industrial, and residential plans for compliance with regulations, provide technical direction to inspection personnel, and interact with municipal clients.
Key responsibilities
- Reviews plans and specifications to ensure compliance with city, state, and federal laws
- Initiates preconstruction conferences with contractors and developers
- Provides technical assistance to inspection personnel and resolves client complaints
Required qualifications
- State of Minnesota Certified Building Official Certification
- Minimum of five years of experience in reviewing commercial construction plans or as an engineer or architect
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- State of Wisconsin Commercial Building Inspector Certification and ICC Building Plans Examiner preferred
- Strong knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures
