Minnesota Licensed Clinical Documentation Nurse

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Minnesota Licensed Clinical Documentation Nurse, this position will manage concurrent auditing of medical record documentation, facilitate physician documentation, and promote accurate patient care records while working remotely after training with occasional site travel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct concurrent audits of medical records to ensure accurate documentation and utilization review
• Facilitate appropriate physician documentation to reflect patient severity of illness and risk of mortality
• Collect and analyze data related to documentation findings for process improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Minnesota
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience
• Experience in performance improvement and quality assurance
• Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) preferred
