Job Summary

Providing comprehensive financial guidance, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Financial Counselor will assist patients and guarantors in navigating insurance benefits and financial liabilities, ensuring a positive financial experience throughout the admissions process and client journey.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform insurance eligibility checks and validate coverage for appointments and services
• Gather insurance information and provide cost of care estimates, including payment arrangements and financial assistance options
• Respond to inquiries regarding insurance and billing concerns, collaborating with internal teams as necessary

Required qualifications:

• Associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• At least three years of experience in healthcare, focusing on patient financial responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and claims processing
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive interactions with professionalism
