Job Summary
To support effective communication in healthcare, the full-time Minnesota Licensed Healthcare Interpreter specializing in Karen will provide remote interpretation services, ensuring accurate and culturally responsive exchanges between patients and healthcare providers.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret accurately and completely while considering cultural context and healthcare terminology
- Facilitate communication across cultural differences and manage the flow of interactions
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the NCIHC Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 40 hours of formal interpreter training from an accredited organization
- 2 years of Remote Healthcare Interpreting experience or a combination of 1 year Remote and 1 year Onsite Medical Interpreting
- Proof of appropriate work area setup in compliance with Remote Work from Home agreement
- Inclusion on the Minnesota Department of Health Spoken Language Interpreter Roster upon hire
