MIR Specialist

Job Summary

To support operational efficiency, the full-time remote MIR Specialist will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure accurate billing, manage claim denials, and gather necessary documentation for funding packages.

Key responsibilities

• Correct and rework orders that cannot be billed or have resulted in claim denials
• Verify client benefits and coverage, communicating relevant information to clients
• Gather and review documentation required by payers, including prescriptions and Letters of Medical Necessity

Required qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Durable Medical Equipment and/or Complex Rehab Technology
• Extensive knowledge of insurance guidelines for securing funding for Durable Medical Equipment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong problem-solving abilities and knowledge of NSM policies and procedures
