Missouri Licensed Surgical Reviewer
Job Summary
To support surgical quality improvement initiatives, the full-time Missouri Licensed Surgical Reviewer will abstract surgical data, ensuring accurate case inclusion and data integrity while working remotely from the metro St. Louis area.
Key responsibilities
- Identify surgical patients for inclusion in the ACS NSQIP registry through strict application of inclusion/exclusion criteria
- Collect reliable preoperative, operative, and postoperative data using medical record systems and clinical information resources
- Establish effective relationships with hospital staff to promote program awareness and ensure successful data management
Required qualifications
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in HIM/Nursing or related field
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- No supervisory experience required
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in HIM/Nursing or related field
- Preferred: RN or relevant health information certifications
