Missouri Licensed Utilization Review Nurse
Job Summary
To support a stable work-from-home team, the full-time Missouri Licensed Utilization Review Nurse will evaluate hospital admissions for medical necessity, utilizing clinical and analytical skills while ensuring appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.
Key responsibilities
- Review and interpret diagnostic test results to assess the appropriateness of patients' levels of care
- Utilize Interqual Criteria to determine the level of care for elective inpatient hospitalizations
- Educate medical providers on the effective use of healthcare resources to ensure quality patient care
Required qualifications
- Active Missouri or Illinois RN license
- 2 years of RN experience providing care for hospitalized patients
- 2 years of Utilization Review experience
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Must reside within one hour of the BJC Commons in St. Louis, MO
