Missouri Licensed Utilization Review Nurse
Job Summary
To support a stable remote team, the PRN Missouri Licensed Utilization Review Nurse will review hospital admissions for medical necessity, ensuring appropriate utilization of resources while working Monday to Friday during the day shift.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize clinical and analytical skills to review diagnostic test results and determine the appropriateness of patient care levels
- Apply Interqual Criteria to assess the level of care for elective inpatient hospitalizations
- Educate medical providers on the effective use of healthcare resources and cost management
Required qualifications
- Active Missouri or Illinois RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting
- At least 2 years of Utilization Review experience
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing
- Must reside within one hour of BJC Commons in St. Louis, MO
