Model-Based Mission Engineering Expert

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Model-Based Mission Engineering Subject Matter Expert, this remote position will develop innovative model-centric solutions for complex defense systems, transforming legacy mission architecture into dynamic digital models to enable data-driven decision-making and mission-level analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and manage mission, operational, system, interface, and cybersecurity requirements throughout their lifecycle
• Create and maintain mission engineering architectures and model-based artifacts that connect operational scenarios, systems, interfaces, and data sources
• Support the transition from static engineering artifacts to an integrated, model-centric digital engineering environment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 10-12 years, Master's degree with 8-10 years, or PhD with 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Expertise with MBSE tools, SysML, and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
• Experience in mission engineering, system-of-systems engineering, and operational architecture development
• Familiarity with Modeling and Simulation, including Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) environments
• Active Secret security clearance is required
