Model-Based Systems Engineer
Job Summary
To support the development of advanced human-machine interfaces, the fully remote Model-Based Systems Engineer will design and manage system models, capture software and hardware interactions, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure alignment with partner frameworks.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement the system model that serves as the technical ground truth for the company
- Capture and model software components, APIs, data flows, and hardware interfaces
- Map architecture to partner frameworks and contribute to design reviews and proposals
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of systems engineering experience on software-intensive or networked systems, with 3+ years in model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
- Expertise in modeling with SysML (preferably v2) or a comparable language
- Strong understanding of software design, microservices, APIs, and agile delivery
- Experience defining hardware/software interfaces, such as ICDs and protocols
- Familiarity with government reference architectures and requirements engineering
