MongoDB Database Administrator
Job Summary
Supporting the development of customer solutions, the full-time MongoDB Database Administrator will manage MongoDB replication and sharding, implement performance improvements, and optimize backup and recovery processes in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and configure MongoDB replication and sharding
- Implement appropriate indexes for performance improvement and fine-tune configurations
- Create and publish database health checks to monitor performance metrics and identify issues
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with MongoDB, including manual builds and management, and understanding of Ops Manager automation
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL
- Development experience with modern scripting or automation languages (e.g., Ansible, Python)
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working across multiple teams
