Job Summary
Experienced mortgage professionals will find a full-time opportunity as a Mortgage Underwriter, responsible for analyzing loan files and ensuring compliance with FHA and VA loan specifications while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze loan files based on program and product specifications to make underwriting decisions
- Review credit reports, income documents, and appraisal reports to ensure sound lending decisions
- Communicate credit decisions and maintain compliance with all company and regulatory guidelines
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of current experience underwriting FHA and VA residential mortgage loans
- Certifications preferred: DE & SAR/LAPP
- Associate degree preferred
- Encompass experience strongly preferred
- Experience working with a new home builder preferred
