Job Summary
Leading a team of underwriters, the full-time Mortgage Underwriting Team Lead will manage the analysis of loan files, ensure compliance with guidelines, and assist in training new underwriters while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough analyses of loan files to determine compliance with company and investor guidelines
- Underwrite credit packages and collateral for residential mortgage loans, ensuring investment quality
- Assist in training new underwriters and communicate loan decisions to relevant parties
Required qualifications
- Minimum three years of mortgage underwriting experience with knowledge of underwriting guidelines
- Experience with private investor and private mortgage insurance guidelines
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
- Strong interpersonal and business-relationship skills
- Technologically proficient with excellent analytical skills
