Multi-State Licensed Accountant

Job Summary

To support a growing accounting team, the full-time remote Multi-State Licensed Accountant will manage tax reporting and compliance across multiple states, handle employee onboarding and payroll reporting, and assist with audits and financial reconciliations.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with all tax reporting and compliance for state, local, and federal regulations using Avalara and payroll processor
• Handle employee onboarding/offboarding and payroll reporting into NetSuite GL, ensuring accurate payroll and tax compliance
• Document accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably within a SaaS company
• Experience using NetSuite and Avalara in a professional setting
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and multi-state tax compliance requirements
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas
