MUMPS Developer
Job Summary
Seeking experienced MUMPS Developers for remote contract positions to design, develop, and enhance VistA/MUMPS solutions, ensuring secure healthcare applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and support VistA/MUMPS and/or InterSystems IRIS solutions and components
- Analyze existing code and workflows to implement maintainable enhancements while preserving compatibility with VistA conventions
- Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to resolve defects and operational issues, maintaining technical documentation throughout the process
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of VistA, MUMPS, Cache/IRIS, or comparable health IT development experience
- Hands-on experience with MUMPS and VistA conventions, data structures, and production support
- Experience with patch creation and the VistA patch release process
- Ability to obtain and maintain required government credentials, including a PIV where applicable
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred
