Nebraska Licensed Claims Examiner

Job Summary

To investigate and resolve property damage and bodily injury claims, the full-time Nebraska Licensed Claims Examiner will evaluate claims, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with insurance contracts while working remotely or from the Omaha, NE office.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate assigned claims, gather necessary information, and communicate with involved parties to evaluate and resolve claims
• Analyze coverage under insurance contracts and coordinate with the Legal Department on compliance and legal issues
• Establish and modify case reserves, review invoices for loss adjustment expenses, and negotiate claim settlements within established authority

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• Three or more years of related work experience
• Knowledge of insurance claim procedures and loss evaluation methods
• Completion of insurance-related courses such as AIC or CPCU
• Ability to interpret and apply insurance contracts effectively
