Job Summary
Seeking a Nebraska Licensed Nurse Consultant, the remote position will evaluate and interpret medical information for disability claims, acting as a clinical resource for benefit specialists and claim professionals while managing a caseload effectively.
Key responsibilities:
- Evaluate medical information to clarify diagnoses and assess the severity of medical conditions
- Provide coaching and guidance to claims professionals regarding medical management and restrictions
- Collaborate with Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinators to support return-to-work services
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent work experience
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Nebraska
- Ability to analyze and interpret medical documents and regulations
- Strong communication skills for interacting with healthcare providers and stakeholders
- Experience in clinical nursing, preferably in Emergency Room, Critical Care, or Orthopedics
