Nessus Subject Matter Expert
Job Summary
Providing expert-level support for the Tenable Nessus vulnerability management platform, the full-time Nessus Subject Matter Expert will ensure accurate scanning, risk prioritization, and remediation guidance for client systems in a fully remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Review and enhance scanning architecture and integrate with other cybersecurity tools
- Develop scanning strategies for enterprise, cloud, and hybrid environments, along with custom reports and dashboards
- Stay updated on Tenable/Nessus developments and support scanning and troubleshooting activities
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years as a Nessus SME
- Expert knowledge of vulnerability management processes and the Tenable tool suite
- Experience integrating Nessus with enterprise SIEM/CDM platforms
- Familiarity with RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and federal vulnerability management requirements
- Active Secret clearance required
