Network Engineer

Job Summary

As a Senior Network Engineer working remotely, the candidate will manage network planning, engineering, and architecture processes while ensuring high availability and security of voice solutions in a complex operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in network planning, engineering, and architecture processes while producing and maintaining technical documentation
• Deploy and configure network devices based on designs and standards, ensuring 99.999% uptime through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting
• Implement and enforce network security protocols, and provide 2nd or 3rd level support on incidents and service requests

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on geographically dispersed networks
• 5+ years of network security experience, including firewalls and threat mitigation
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN, ISR and ASR Routing platforms, and Cisco Nexus and Catalyst Switching
• Desirable certifications include Cisco CCNP, CCIE, Security and/or SDWAN, as well as Azure or GCP certifications
• Understanding of NG911 networking and associated security standards such as NIST and CIS
