Job Summary
To provide operational support for a global network infrastructure, the remote contract Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain network solutions while engaging in root-cause analysis and identifying process improvements.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, document, and maintain network solutions in alignment with best practices and compliance standards
- Engage in root-cause analysis and postmortem discussions to drive operational improvements
- Identify process gaps and recommend solutions to enhance network security, scalability, performance, and availability
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise-level hybrid cloud networks, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Advanced knowledge of OSI model network protocols and experience with Cisco, Meraki, and Palo Alto platforms
- Experience in a DevOps/NetDevOps environment using network automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python
- Proficiency in creating network diagrams using Visio or LucidChart
- Working knowledge of PCI/DSS compliance and network security standards
