Job Summary
To support enterprise infrastructure for a large federal healthcare program, the full-time Network Engineer will design, implement, and maintain secure network solutions while working remotely within the continental US.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Implement and optimize network security controls and manage load balancing platforms for high availability
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with federal standards and support network modernization initiatives
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related field, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise-scale environments
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco and Juniper routers/switches and firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA)
- Proficiency in load balancing technologies, including F5 LTM/GTM/DNS
- Strong understanding of network security principles and experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark
