Network Engineer I
Job Summary
Supporting the management and administration of the company's LAN/WAN environment, the full-time remote Network Engineer I will perform day-to-day maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of network systems while ensuring security and compliance with established policies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in managing and administrating the company's network, including troubleshooting physical connectivity issues and maintaining local access switches
- Configure and support FortiGate firewalls, F5 Big-IP load balancers, and Cisco switches while documenting processes and network configurations
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, providing professional support to customers and collaborating with vendors to resolve production-related issues
Required qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher preferred
- 2+ years of experience in data network (LAN/WAN/WLAN) administration in a Cisco environment
- Experience with ticketing and monitoring tools
- Proficient with Microsoft Visio for network diagramming
- Ability to monitor network environments proactively and respond to incidents outside of normal business hours
