Job Summary
To support secure and resilient network operations for law enforcement and public safety systems, the long-term contract Network Engineer - Virginia Licensed will design, secure, and manage hybrid cloud networks across 500+ remote sites, utilizing advanced AWS networking and VPN engineering in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Architect, secure, and operate high-availability networks for public safety infrastructure
- Manage routing, switching, firewall policies, and network configurations for multiple remote locations
- Design and implement redundant IPsec VPNs with BGP failover to ensure uninterrupted connectivity
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of enterprise network engineering experience with expertise in routing, switching, and firewalls
- Proven experience designing and supporting large-scale IPsec VPNs with BGP failover
- Advanced knowledge of AWS networking components such as VPCs and Transit Gateway
- Deep understanding of network security, segmentation, and encryption practices
- Familiarity with CJIS or similar regulatory frameworks and ability to pass a CJIS background investigation
