Network Operations Security Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as the Security Champion for Network Operations, the full-time remote Network Operations Security Engineer will translate enterprise security requirements into actionable operational controls while coordinating remediation efforts across production networks, cloud infrastructure, and Kubernetes-based services.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the designated representative in the Security Champions Council, communicating security requirements and emerging threats to operational teams
• Assess vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation plans with Engineering and DevOps, ensuring operational security readiness for production changes
• Participate in security-related production incidents, supporting containment and recovery efforts while improving operational response exercises

Required qualifications

• 5+ years in network/infrastructure security engineering, production operations, or a closely related technical role
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, firewalls, and troubleshooting in production environments
• Practical experience with vulnerability assessment, remediation planning, and validation
• Experience with production incidents, change management, and cross-functional engineering coordination
• Working knowledge of cloud environments, containers/Kubernetes, and infrastructure security concepts
