Job Summary
To support high-quality care initiatives for veterans and military beneficiaries, the remote part-time Nevada Licensed Medical Director will provide clinical guidance across multiple medical management domains, lead quality committees, and collaborate with various teams to enhance healthcare delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Provide program-wide clinical guidance in Utilization Management, Case Management, Quality, and Public Health
- Lead and participate in quality committees and safety initiatives while reviewing member cases for appropriateness and quality of care
- Collaborate with TriWest teams and interact with veterans to support satisfaction and outcomes
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
- Board certification or board eligibility through a recognized specialty board
- A minimum of 5 years of medical practice experience, with 3+ years in managed care environments
- Favorable background investigation through the Department of Defense (DoD)
