Job Summary
To support the 988 Lifeline Services, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will interact with clients through telephone, chat, and text, providing assessments, support, and appropriate referrals while ensuring a client-friendly service environment.
Key responsibilities
- Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner to assess their service needs
- Documents assessments and interventions in accordance with established policies
- Facilitates effective communication and referrals to other providers and resources
Required qualifications
- Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
- Experience in crisis intervention and handling service requests under pressure
- Familiarity with community resources and support services
