New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary

To support the 988 Lifeline Services, a part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will interact with clients through telephone, chat, and text, providing assessments and appropriate referrals while ensuring a client-friendly service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner to assess their needs and provide support
• Documents assessments, interventions, and client interactions in accordance with established policies
• Ensures all service requests are handled effectively and in a timely manner

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• Familiarity with mental health resources and providers
• Ability to manage phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
• Experience in crisis intervention
• Willingness to work night shifts, totaling 16 hours per week
