Job Summary
Providing essential support to clients of the 988 Lifeline Services, the per diem New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will assess service requests via telephone, chat, or text, and respond with appropriate support and referrals while documenting interactions in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities
- Interact with clients in a therapeutic manner to address their needs
- Ensure all service requests are handled effectively and in a client-friendly manner
- Document assessments, interventions, and client interactions according to established policies
Required qualifications
- Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
- Ability to handle phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
- Experience in crisis intervention
- Competency in recognizing and addressing the unique needs of clients
