Job Summary

Providing essential support to clients of the 988 Lifeline Services, the per diem New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist II will interact therapeutically with clients, assess service needs, and ensure effective handling of service requests, with the potential for remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Interacts with clients in a therapeutic manner to provide support and guidance
• Assesses service requests and conditions to determine appropriate referrals and documentation
• Ensures all service requests are managed effectively and in a client-friendly manner

Required qualifications

• Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
• New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist certification
• Experience handling crisis intervention scenarios
• Ability to document assessments and interventions in accordance with established policies
• Capacity to manage phone requests under time and decision-making pressure
