Job Summary
To support the NJ Hopeline, the part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will manage client interactions through the 988 Lifeline Services, providing assessments, support, and referrals while demonstrating effective communication and recovery-oriented skills.
Key responsibilities
- Accepts and responds to service requests via phone, chat, and text within prescribed timeframes
- Models good communication and recovery-oriented living skills for clients
- Documents client interactions accurately in accordance with departmental protocols
Required qualifications
- Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in a mental health field or a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant mental health, social, or human services field
- Demonstrated competency in assessment and support skills
- Knowledge of resources and programs related to mental health services
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and referral sources
- Experience handling crisis situations and making appropriate dispositions
