Job Summary
To support the NJ Hopeline, a part-time New Jersey Licensed Mental Health Specialist will manage client interactions through the 988 Lifeline Services, conducting assessments and providing support and referrals while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of resources.
Key responsibilities
- Models effective communication and recovery-oriented living skills for clients
- Responds to service requests via phone, chat, or text within established timeframes
- Documents client interactions accurately and maintains comprehensive knowledge of available resources
Required qualifications
- Four years of relevant full-time paid experience in the mental health field, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- Competency in assessing client needs and providing appropriate support
- Ability to work under time and decision-making pressure
- Experience with crisis intervention
- Knowledge of community resources and referral processes
