Job Summary
To support key business operations, the remote Reimbursement Specialist will manage reimbursement cases, assist patients in navigating pharmacy coverage requirements, and collaborate with various healthcare stakeholders while working a flexible schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate reimbursement cases from initial benefit research through coverage approval activities
- Analyze pharmacy coverage information and insurance requirements to identify eligibility and documentation needs
- Facilitate communication among patients, insurance organizations, and medical offices to resolve coverage barriers
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant reimbursement, pharmacy access, or insurance experience required
- Experience supporting specialty pharmacy operations or patient access programs is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy benefit verification and reimbursement processes is required
- Health insurance or payor experience may be considered when relevant pharmacy experience is unavailable
- Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
