Job Summary
Providing legal counsel on employee benefits and executive compensation, the full-time New Jersey Licensed Senior Counsel will manage compliance with ERISA and the Internal Revenue Code while supporting governance functions and M&A integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal guidance on employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including compliance with ERISA and fiduciary obligations
- Support plan redesign initiatives, drafting amendments and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure legal compliance
- Assist with SEC disclosures and advise on DOL/IRS filings and vendor agreements related to compensation and benefit plans
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of legal experience in employee benefits and executive compensation
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and license to practice law in New Jersey
- Expertise in ERISA, HIPAA, and the Internal Revenue Code
- Experience supporting senior leadership and corporate transactions
- Strong judgment and cross-functional collaboration skills
