Job Summary
To support a growing virtual specialty care team, a part-time New Mexico Licensed Hepatologist will evaluate and manage a variety of liver conditions through a fully remote telehealth platform while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supervising Advanced Practice Providers.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage a wide range of liver conditions, including fatty liver disease, hepatitis B & C, and cirrhosis
- Provide longitudinal care via telehealth and document patient encounters within the EMR - EPIC
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide clinical oversight for Advanced Practice Providers as applicable
Required qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology with a Hepatology focus
- Active, unrestricted medical license in New Mexico is a plus
- Experience or interest in supervising Advanced Practice Providers
- Comfortable providing care in a telehealth environment
